New Addition in the Dining Room

Happy weekend!  I hope that you’re spending time with family and friends today!  I was lucky enough to get to horseback ride yesterday; we rode 16 miles around the beautiful Shawnee National forest (sorry I forgot to bring my phone for pictures)!

I’m resting up on this beautiful Sunday about to head to a church gathering.  But before I go, I wanted to do a quick post on this cute little bar cart I spotted in St. Louis.

unnamed

I spotted this little bar car at one of my favorite spots to antique in St. Louis, Treasure Isle.  I just loved it’s cute lines and faux bamboo legs.  I mulled over purchasing it as I searched through all the other aisles.  I decided to leave it behind because I had spent too much time shopping and was late for dinner plans with a friend.  Immediately, I regretted my decision of leaving that cart behind.  I was meeting up with my friend Rebekah, who is a fellow antiquer and blogger, and told her about the regretful decision I made NOT to purchase this little cart.  A couple days later, Rebekah sent me a text and told me the cart was still at Treasure Isle and asked if I wanted it.  I, of course, said YES get it right now!  I’m lucky to have such sweet friends who understand my fondness for cute accessories!

Here are a few pictures of where I placed it and how I decided to style it (for now).

Fresh flowers from the yard, lemons, napkins, books, straws, a teacup candle, and of course, Pellegrino grace its’ glass shelves.  Also, I picked up those ultra cool polished rock book ends from TJ Maxx (my most favorite place to shop, like, ever).

Have a great rest of your weekend!

I haven’t had a spare moment up until today to snap a few pictures of our home decorated for Christmas.  The lighting isn’t the best today but this is the only time I will have to take a few shots before Christmas! • Cute Upstairs Bedroom I am so excited about how this bedroom turned out! Here are a few before shots. Cute but the curtains covered up the windows and the border wall paper was too 80s.  Although, I actually liked the tulip tree wallpaper, I figured get rid of it all while I’m at it. I used my trusted technique of NOT [...]
  • Guest Room Refresh Hi!  I have been hard at work getting our upstairs bedrooms refreshed before we have guests visit next week.  First, let me share the before photos of the south side bedroom. YIKES, that blue ceiling! It’s funny, this room has become the room of “island of misfit furniture” 🙂 Reminds you of Rudolf, right? All [...]
  • It’s All About The Little Thing... So our house is old, like really old, and has had plenty of facelifts over the years (and let’s face it, updates still need to be done). The back half of our home (the kitchen, powder room and Ryan’s office) is probably the most recent area to receive a huge remodel.   The previous owners did a FANTASTIC job with [...]

Hi Falon, thanks for stopping by! It’s funny how things show up when you’re not looking for them, I totally stumbled upon this cute cart! That means you just need to visit more antique shops and stay on that “unofficial” hunt 🙂
